'True Blood' Stud Joe Manganiello (aka Alcide) to Play a Male Stripper

"True Blood" star Joe Manganiello often finds himself without a shirt as he plays werewolf Alcide on the HBO show, and viewers of the female persuasion usually have no complaints in the matter. But you might be able to see Manganiello even more naked than usual soon, as he takes on the role of a stripper.

Forget the remake of "Dirty Dancing." Steven Soderbergh has some real dirty dancing going on in his upcoming film "Magic Mike," which centers on a group of male strippers. So far, the cast includes Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer and Matthew McConaughey, all playing roles as strippers at a club called Xquisite.

Considering McConaughey's tendency toward shirtlessness as well, his role isn't too surprising.

Manganiello is currently only in talks to join the project, but if he ends up on board he'll be playing a character called Big Dick Richie. Yes, seriously. I don't make this stuff up, folks.

This is yet another step for Manganiello into feature films, as the actor will also be appearing in super rom-com "What to Expect When You're Expecting" next spring.
